Tate Modern - Pablo Picasso
During the exhibition and taking a look at various paintings. I found that various surrealist painings could distort reality and therfore allow the artist to break the rules and use his imagination to creat his or her interpretation of utopia. One example is this piece of work by Pablo Picasso. The piece is called 'nude woman wirh necklace'. Here picasso revised the traditional ideal of beauty with particular violence, subjecting the body with a repeated assault in paint. So therefore picasso has has changed the beauty of a female body to represent distopia.
